Drought-Tolerant Landscape

2/18/2016

Homeowners must submit a completed Architectural Application for any landscape changes, especially when considering drought-tolerant landscaping.  With the water emergency in effect, many homeowners are starting to consider their options, and also asking "where do I begin?"  One great place to begin is the website www.bewaterwise.com sponsored by the Metropolitan Water District and Rancho Water.  This site offers plenty of ideas, incentives, rebates, tips on saving water, and also provides lists of recommended plants and vegetation.  See photos below for the type of drought-tolerant landscaping that would be considered acceptable by the Architectural Committee for your community.  Of course, each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis for its attractiveness and aesthetic appeal in keeping with the Villa Avanti community.
