Flower Power

7/15/2016

Picture
Our summer season is in full swing now and a high of 116* was a "Whoa Hey Nellie, this is Temecula not Palm Springs or Arizona!!"  Then the water restrictions were released and we now have water for our sun drenched and dying yards.  We were fined if we used too much water so a lot of people went drought tolerant in their yards.  So at our bi-monthly meeting, I asked if we could encourage everyone to plant annual flowers around the base of their front yard trees without having to get Architectural approval to help get our neighborhoods looking beautiful again and our Board President, Darrell Connerton agreed that would look very nice!  So let's get our flowers on and see what street can become the most colorful and get our yards green again!

                                           -Judy Escoto, Architectural Committee Chairman

PS.  We need two more volunteers on our Architectural Committee.  If you are interested in being part of our group contact Avalon Management for a volunteer form and show up at our next HOA Meeting.  Volunteer forms are also available online @ www.villaavanti.com.

Vail Ranch Restoration Ribbon Cutting

7/1/2016

After 18 years or working and planning, the renovation of the Vail Ranch Headquarters is nearly completed. Ribbon cutting at the Vail Headquarters will take place on Saturday, July 16th at 10:30 a.m. with festivities 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  There will be live music, hay wagon rides, a chuck wagon barbecue, gunfighters, roping, historical displays, a petting zoo, games for children, and arts and crafts.  You've got to be there!

The Vail Ranch Restoration Association is greatly pleased with the careful restoration and renovation of the buildings and property.  They have identified and incorporated historic features throughout the property including items like the Vail water tank, historic Temecula granite pieces, and old machinery.

Each Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. will be Sunday Fundays for families, with food vendors, historical displays, crafts and rides.  On each Tuesday beginning July 19th, a certified Farmers Market will feature their local produce from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
